FaroVPN

A European VPN that’s harder to block

FaroVPN, a company based in the European Union, encrypts your traffic. With the VLESS protocol and Reality, your connection looks like ordinary website browsing, so networks that block VPNs find it harder to spot.

What FaroVPN does

The FaroVPN app connects your devices to the VPN and sends their traffic through an encrypted tunnel.

  • FaroVPN encrypts your connection

Person on a laptop in a café, a padlock on the connection
  • It gets past blocks

A connection passing a filtering wall disguised as a web page
  • Your devices, one account

Phone, laptop and tablet signed in to one account

A VPN alone doesn’t make you anonymous. FaroVPN encrypts the traffic that goes through the VPN, hides your IP address from the sites you visit and makes your traffic harder to filter.

Why FaroVPN

Built for networks that filter

Networks that block VPNs recognise common VPN protocols such as OpenVPN, WireGuard and IKEv2 by the way their traffic looks. FaroVPN uses VLESS with Reality, so your connection looks like ordinary website browsing and is harder to spot and block.
  • Servers in 18 countries, in Europe and beyond
  • No logs of visited sites, DNS queries or the IP address you connect from
  • A company based in the European Union and bound by the GDPR

VPN for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone

FaroVPN apps are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. On computers, the browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge cover browser traffic only.

Understanding VPNs

What is a VPN for?

A VPN (virtual private network) creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and a server. Sites you open through this tunnel see the server’s IP address instead of yours. Your internet provider and the public Wi-Fi network can see your connection to the server, but they can’t read the encrypted data passing through it.

Frequently asked questions

What is VLESS Reality?
The VLESS protocol with Reality encrypts your connection with TLS 1.3, just as secure websites do. To the network, it looks like ordinary website browsing, so network filters find it harder to spot and block the VPN.
How many devices can I connect to FaroVPN?
The device limit per subscription depends on your plan: 2 devices with Solo, 5 with Standard and 10 with Family. You can see and remove your devices in your account.
Which devices do the FaroVPN apps run on?
FaroVPN apps are available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. You sign in with your account and the app gets the server settings, so there’s nothing to copy. Your system’s page explains how to install it.
Are the browser extensions a VPN?
No. The Chrome, Firefox and Edge extensions are HTTPS proxies: they cover the browser’s traffic, not other apps. They are available for computers only.
Do you keep a history of my browsing?
No. We don’t record the sites you visit, your DNS queries or the IP address you connect from. Our no-logs policy lists the account data we do keep.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In your account, open Subscription and click Cancel. Access stays open until the end of the period you have paid for.
How do I claim the 30-day money-back guarantee?
Write to support within 30 days of your first payment. We refund the full amount and don’t ask why.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payments go through Stripe, our payment provider. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and, depending on your country, with other payment methods. Your country’s VAT is included in the price.
